HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1992-010-R-9210-R-92 A RESOLUTION HOME Investment Partnerships Consortium Agreement WHEREAS, the United States Congress has enacted the. Cranston -Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act ("the Act") providing federal financial assistance for the support of affordable housing as identified in Title II --Investment in Affordable Housing of HOME Investment Partnerships Act: and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston did not receive a formula allocation for direct entitlement of HOME funds; and WHEREAS, the Act makes possible the allocation of funds .to Cook County for the purpose of undertaking affordable housing activities identified in the Act; and WHEREAS, Cook County and the City of Evanston have determined that joint action is the most effective way to accomplish the purposes of said Act. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows: SECTION 1: That the City Manager be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute the HOME Investment Partnership Consortium Agreement between the County of Cook, Illinois and the City of Evanston for a one-year period (Federal Fiscal Year 1993). .� 1 SECTION 2: This resolution shall be in full force and effect following its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
