• A RESOLUTION
Assuming Responsibility for Temporary
Closing of Sheridan Road (Parade)
WHEREAS, Northwestern University Cycle Team of the City of Evanston,
Illinois desires to hold a bike race on Sheridan Road on Saturday,
April 13, 1991, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, said bike race will require the closing of Sheridan Road
either partially or completely between Central Street and Clark Street; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois requires the City to assume full
responsibility and liability involved in the closing of said highway;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
• EVANSTON. COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that said City will assume full
responsibility for the direction, protection and regulation of traffic during
the time the detour is in effect, and all liabilities for damages of any kind
occasioned by the closing of said State Route as to claims made upon the State
of Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that efficient, all weather detours will be
maintained, conspicuously marked and judiciously police patrolled for the
benefits of traffic deviated from the State Route.
