WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has considered the acquisition of the real estate hereinafter described in connection with a tax increment financing redevelopment project; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is necessary to acquire said real estate for the redevelopment purposes pursuant to the provisions of Section 11-74.4-4 of Chapter 24 of the Illi�gi�_R��i��d_St�t�t��; and WHEREAS, the acquisition of said real estate will be for a public purpose in accordance with state statgte as hereinabove set forth; and WHEREAS, the market value Q the property herein described is Six Hundred and Fifteen Thousand and 00/100ths Dollars ($615,000.00); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION In That it is necessary, required, desirable and for the best interests of the City of Evanston that the real property legally described as: "Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 in Dempster's Subdivision of Block 66 in Village (Now City) of Evanston in South West 1/4 of Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois." and commonly known as 910-926 Church Street, Evanston, Illinois which said property lies wholly within the boundaries of the City of Evanston, shall be acquired for redevelopment purposes. SECTION 2: That the City Manager of the City of 63-R-89 Evanston be and he is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to negotiate for and on behalf of the City of Evanston with the owner of owners of the hereinabove described real property for the purchase thereof by the City of Evanston. SECTION 3: That in the event that the City Manager, is unable to agree with the owners of the real property hereinabove described as to the compensation to be paid therefor, then the Corporation Counsel of the City of Evanston be and he is hereby ' authorized to institute condemnation proceedings in the name of the City of Evanston for the purpose of acquiring title to and possession of said real property hereinabove described in accordance with the eminent domain laws of the State of Illinois.
