A RESOLUTION
Amending the 1985-86 and 1986-87
Community Development Block Grant Programs
and Authorizing the Reallocation of Unexpended
1985 and 1986 Funds to the
Mason Shelter Rehabilitation Project ('85 -'86)
• and the
Handicapped Accessibility Project (' 86 - ' 87)
WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council with the passage of Resolution
5-R-85 did approve an application for 1985-86 Community Development Block Grant
Entitlement funds and did direct the City Manager to file said application with the
United States Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council with the passage of Resolution
6-R-86 did approve an application for 1986-87 Community Development block Grant
Entitlement funds and did direct the City Manager to file said application with the
United States Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston's 1985-86 Block Grant program, was
approved by said United States Department, on March 7, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston's 1986-87 Community Development Block
Grant Program was approved by said United States Department on March 19, 1986;
and
WHEREAS, funds were set aside in the Unspecified Local Option
component of .the 1985 and 1986 Community Development Block. Grant programs to
meet unexpected project cost overruns; and
• WHEREAS, it is necessary to allocate additional, funds to the 1985-86
Mason Park Shelter Rehab program and the 1986-87 Handicapped Accessibility
program; and
. WHEREAS, reallocation of said funds would require that the City of
Evanston's 1985-86 and 1986-87 Community Development Block Grant programs be
revised;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, hereby amends its 1985-86 and 1986-87 Community
Development Block Grant programs and authorizes the following reallocations;
ELEVENTH YEAR GRANT - 1985-1986; $6,095 from Unspecified Local
Option transferred to the Mason Park Shelter Rehabilitation program.
TWELFTH YEAR GRANT - 1986-87 $2,500 from the Unspecified Local
Option transferred to the Handicapped Accessibility project.
