HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1984-097-R-84i 11/27/84 I , i 97-R-84 i A RESOLUTION Authorizing the Lease of Certain Room Space on the Second Floor of the Civic Center • ;; to State Representative_ Woods Bowman, Room 2202 WHEREAS, the City of Evanston owns certain real ' I 4 property legally described as follows: Ei See attached 11 1 commonly known as 2100 Ridge Avenue, Evanston, Illinois; and II I WHEREAS, said real estate is improved with a five -story building known as the Evanston Civic Center; and I WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has i ' I I determined that it is no longer necessary or appropriate or in E 'i the best interests of the City that it retain the use of j certain second floor room space.within said improved real • floor is I estate, and that said second room space not required I � s for the use of or profitable to the City of Evanston; and I WHEREAS, Illinois State Representative Woods Bowman j has proposed to lease said second floor room space at 2100 ' Ridge Avenue; and I I WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has i determined that the best interests of the City of Evanston �I , would be served by the leasing of said property to i1 Representative Woods Bowman; and i WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the best interests of the City of Evanston and its residents will be served by the execution of the lease; i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF I THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: • •. SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sign and the i I! � I � 97-R-84 i • • • `i City Clerk hereby authorized and directed to attest on behalf iof the City of Evanston a lease by and between the City of Evanston as Lessor and Woods Bowman as Lessee for certain (i second floor space for a term of one (1) year at a rental of �I $8.09 per square foot with option to renew for an additional one (1) year term at $8.70 per square foot, all for Room 2202. i� I' SECTION 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to negotiate any additional conditions on the lease of aforesaid room space as may be I determined to be in the best interests of the City.
