A RESOLUTION
Authorizing the Lease of.1004-06 Emerson
Street, Evanston, Illinois to Dart, Inc.

WHEREAS, the City of Evanston owns certain real
property legally described as follows:
Lot 2 in Block 1 in Circuit Court partition of that
part of Lot 22 in County Clerks Subdivision, a
subdivision of lands in Section 18, Township 41
North, Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
in Cook County, Illinois
commonly known as 1004-06 Emerson Street, Evanston, Illinois,
and
WHEREAS, said real estate is improved with a
two-story structure; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has
determined that it is no longer necessary or appropriate or in
the best interests of the City that it retain the use of said
property and that said property is not required for the use of
or profitable to the City of Evanston; and
WHEREAS, Darl, Inc. has proposed to lease said
property at 1004-06 Emerson; and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Evanston has
determined that the best interests of the City of Evanston
would be served by the leasing of said property to Darl, Inc.,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that
the best interests of the City of Evanston and its residents
will be served by the execution of the lease;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby
authorized and directed and the City

Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest on behalf of
the City of Evanston a lease by and between the City of
Evanston as Lessor and Darl., Inc. as Lessee for 1004-06 Emerson
Street.for a term of one year with an option to renew for one

year on substantially the terms and conditions as set forth in
lease marked as Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference.
SECTION 2: The City Manager is hereby
r
authorized and directed to negotiate any
additional conditions of the lease of aforesaid proeprty as may
be determined to be in the best interests of the City of
Evanston.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and pp publication in the manner provided by law.
