A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the Achievement of
Pamela Jo Page in Qualifying
for the 1984 Olympic Games
WHEREAS, Pamela Jo Page has excelled academically at Evanston's
Foster School, Walker School and Evanston Township High School; and
WHEREAS, Pamela Jo Page has shown athletic excellence in gymnastics
in junior high school and in basketball and track in high school; and.
WHEREAS, Pamela Jo Page was the first female recipient of the
prestigious Leo Samuelson Award, bestowed.upon the school's best athlete; and.;yl
WHEREAS, Pamela Jo Page was selected to be a member of the first Xi
World Track and Field Team in 1983; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Jo Page has demonstrated superior drive and ability.''-.
by competing in the 100-meter hurdles and by qualifying for the 1984 Olympic
Games in Los Angeles, California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Evanston, Cook County, Illinois that Pamela Jo Page be commended for her
untiring efforts, for her drive and dedication, for her strive toward success
and for the pride and recognition she has brought to this City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the accomplishments of Pamela Jo Page
be brought this day to the attention of the entire Evanston community.
