• A RESOLUTION
Upon the Death of Constance L. Fitzsimons
WHEREAS, Constance L. Fitzsimons departed this life on
September 2�6, 1982; and i
WHEREAS, Constance L. Fitzsimons was an Alderman of the Fourth
Ward of the City of Evanston during the years 1973 to 1981; and
WHEREAS, Constance L. Fitzsimons, during her term as Alderman
served as a•member of the Human Services Committee, the Economic Develop-
ment Committee, the Property Standards Committee, the Township Committee,
the Flood and Pollution Control Commission; the Civic Center Committee,
the Rental Considerations Committee, the Long -Term Care Committee, and
as Mayor Pro Tem; and
• WHEREAS, Constance L. Fitzsimons was a strong advocate of the
rights of minorities .and deeply committed to providing a comprehensive
system of social services to the community; and
WHEREAS, Constance L. Fitzsimons served the citizens of her
ward as well as the citizens.of the entire City, giving most liberally
of her time, energy and ability; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston desires to
pay tribute to Constance L. Fitzsimons;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT.RESOLVED, that the Ci:y Councilof the
City of Evanston, on behalf of itself, the Mayor,, City Manager, City
Officials, and residents of this community, expresses its heartfelt grief
and sense of loss at the passing of Constance L. Fitzsimons.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be
prepared and presented to the members of her bereaved family.
