HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1982-024-R-82n • 0 •� - i 4/13/82 f 24-R-82 A RESOLUTION Amending the 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982 Community Development Block Grant Programs and Authorizing the Reallocation of Unexpended 1979, 1980 and 1981 Funds WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council with passage of City resolutions 10-R-79, 6-R-80, and 8-R-81 did approve applications for Community Development Block Grant entitlement funds and did direct the City Manager to file said applications with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Develop- ment; and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston's 1979, 1980 and 1981 applications. were approved by said United States Department; and WHEREAS, unexpended funds are available after implementation of certain 1979, 1980 and 1981 Community Development Block Grant program activities; and WHEREAS, reallocation of said funds would require that the City of Evanston's previous applications be revised; and WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council, with the passage of. Resolution 3-R-82, did approve -an application for 1982 Community Development Block Grant entitlement funds and did direct the City Manager to file said application with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and WHEREAS, the estimated entitlement amount for the 1982 Community Development Block Grant application was $1,782,300; and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston recently received notification from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that the City's 1982 Community Development Block Grant actual entitlement amount has been increased to $1,871,252; and WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act Committee did hold a public meeting on April 6, 1982, to hear citizen views and has now completed its recommendations for reallocating the $125,400 from previous years' funding and the additional $88,952 from the,1982 entitlement grant; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON,-COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, hereby amends its 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982 applications and authorizes the following reallocations: 4/13/82' • 24- R-82 -2- FIFTH YEAR GRANT- 1979 11 $2,200 from Levy Center transferred to the 1981 activity, Housing Planner $1,300 from Levy Center transferred to the 1982 Grant i SIXTH YEAR GRANT- 1980 $20,000 from Foster Center transferred to the 1982 Grant $ 8,948 from Target Area Beautification to the 1982 Grant SEVENTH YEAR GRANT- 1981 I;. $24,952 from Target Area Beautification to the 1982 Grant I) $20,000 from Special Assessments Assistance to the 1982 Grant j $48,000 from Special Assessments Assistance to the 1982 Grant AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, I.LLINOIS, hereby amends its Eighth Year Community Development Block Grant Application to include the attached program of iI!
