HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1981-022-R-8122-R-81 A RESOLUTION • Amending the 1981 Community Development Block Grant Program Application WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council, with the passage of Resolution 8-R-.81, did approve an application for Community Development Block Grant en- titlement funds and did direct the City Manager to file said application with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and WHEREAS, the estimated entitlement amount for the 1981 Community Development Block Grant application was $2,154,000; and u WHEREAS, the City of Evanston recently received notification from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that the City's 1981 Com- munity Development Block Grant actual entitlement amount has been increased to • $2,285,000; and WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act Committee held a public hearing and has,now completed its recommendations for the additional $131,000; and WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council, with the passage of Resolution 8-R-81, did approve housing rehabilitation funds to be used by the City and Evanston Community Development Corporation; and WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act Committee held a public hearing and has now completed its recommendation for the allocation'of the said rehabilitation funds between the City and Evanston Community Development Corporation; • 22-R-81 3/23/81 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, hereby amends its seventh year Community Development Block Grant application to include the attached "Proposed 1981-81 • Community Development Block Grant Activities" and directs the City Manager to transmit the revised 1981 Community Development Block Grant Application to the appropriate state and federal agencies.
