HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1980-057-R-801• 57-R-80 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City of Evanston is desirous of selling water to additional communities; and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston has determined by engineering studies that it has the capacity and capability to provide additional water service; and WHEREAS, a number of communities have indicated a desire to - pursue this matter with the City of Evanston: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Evanston that they officially go on record restating their willingness to work with such communities as are interested to develop a program for the sale of water to said communities; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in developing said program, the City of Evanston is willing to consider a number of arrangements for such provision of water, including use of the City's revenue bonding capacities to finance part or all of the construction cost; and the constructing of a pipeline to utilize for the advantage and convenience of such communities the pressure currently available in the Evanston Water System; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City of Evanston is directed to work with such interested communities and to take the steps necessary to consider all of the various alternatives.
