ABATING TAXES LEVIED FOR THE YEAR 1979
li HERETOFORE LEVIED TO PAY PRINCIPAL AND
' INTEREST ON $3,000,000 CORPORATE PURPOSE

BONDS, SERIES 1975A OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County,
Illinois, did on the 8th day of September, 1975, adopt Ordinance 77-0-75, an
Ordinance entitled:
if An Ordinance providing for borrowing money and issuing
$3,000,000 Corporate Purpose Bonds, Series 1975A, of
City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, and providing
for the levy and collection of a direct annual tax for
�j the payment of the principal of and interest on said
j; bonds; and

j, WHEREAS, there is available from other sources the amount of $182,0001

which may lawfully be utilized to pay sums due on said bonds for which taxes

1iwere heretofore levied;
! NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
;EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the taxes heretofore levied and provided for in
the Ordinance providing for the issuance of $3,000,000
;Corporate Purpose Bonds, Series 1975A, of the City of Evanston, Cook County,
.lIllinois, passed September 8, 1975, as Ordinance 77-0-75, be and the same
Iihereby are abated for the year 1979 by the amount of $182,000.
SECTION 2: That all Resolutions in conflict therewith, specifically
Resolution 64-R-79, are hereby repealed.

SECTION 3: That the City Manager, upon passage of this resolution,

shall cause to be filed with the County Clerk of Cook

:ICounty, Illinois, a certified copy hereof and shall direct said County Clerk to
I
iabate the taxes heretofore levied under said Ordinance 77-0-75 for the year
1,1979 in the amount of $182,000.
