Authorizing the City Manager
To Enter into a Student Reduced
Fare Reimbursement Grant Agreement
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois provides financial assistance to mass
transportation carriers to permit a reduced fare for student riders; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston finds it desirable
to participate,in the Student Reduced Fare Reimbursement Grant Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Evanston, Cook County, Illinois that the City of Evanston become a party to a
Student Reduced Fare Reimbursement Grant Agreement with the State of Illinois,
by which agreement the City of Evanston would receive grant assistance pursuant
to the provisions of Chapter 122, Section 791-796 of the Illinois Revised
Statutes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Evanston.
