A RESOLUTION
Authorizing the City Manager to Approve a Purchase Order with Select
Vendors for the Required Annual Inspections and Repairs to all Fire
Apparatus, Commercial Fleet Vehicles and Heavy Construction
Equipment Owned and Maintained by the City for the Remainder of
2026 through 2027
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston is responsible for the repair and maintenance
of all vehicles and equipment owned and operated by the City of Evanston; and
WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council believes approving a purchase order with
Interstate Power Systems, Inc, JX Peterbilt / JX Enterprises, Lakeside International, LLC,
Macqueen Equipment, R.N.O.W., Inc., Runnion Equipment, Standard Equipment, West
Side Tractor Sales and Wentworth Tire Service for the required annual inspections and
repairs to all fire apparatus, commercial fleet vehicles and heavy construction equipment
owned and maintained by the City for the remainder of 2026 through 2027 is in the best
interests of the citizens of Evanston;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sign, and
the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest on behalf of the City of Evanston,
a purchase order from the City to Interstate Power Systems, Inc, JX Peterbilt / JX
Enterprises, Lakeside International, LLC, Macqueen Equipment, R.N.O.W., Inc., Runnion
Equipment, Standard Equipment, West Side Tractor Sales and Wentworth Tire Service .

SECTION 2: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to negotiate
any terms of an Agreement as may be determined to be in the best interests of the City.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
