A RESOLUTION
Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Sole Source Agreement
with Conway Shield for Fire Department Turnout Gear
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston needs to replace fourteen sets of Turnout
Gear that are reaching their ten-year life span and to outfit six new firefighters by end of
fiscal year,
WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council believes entering into a Sole Source
Agreement with Conway Shield is in the best interest of the citizens of Evanston
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
sign, and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to attest on behalf of the City of
Evanston, an Agreement between the City and Conway Shield for $77,460.
SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
