Reference: Request for Approval of Change Order 9 – 1909 Intake Replacement Project
Dear Paul,
We respectfully request your consideration of a time extension to our agreement for professional services
related to the 1909 Raw Water Intake Replacement Project.
We are not requesting an increase in our contract budget at this time as we anticipate our remaining budget
to be sufficient to complete the remaining scope of services, assuming regular field observation will not be
required beyond the end of October 2026.
Proposed Modifications to the Scope of Services
Our original scope of work for construction support services assumed a completion date of December 4,
2024. Subsequent change orders extended this completion date to September 1, 2026. The Contractor’s
current construction schedule has a substantial completion date of September 14, 2026, and due to this we
expect to be able to wind down regular field observation by the end of October 2026. To allow for final
completion and project close out activities, we are requesting an extension of our contract to April 30, 2027.
Based on our projected level of effort required for construction administration and inspection services during
the remainder of construction, we believe that our remaining contract budget is sufficient to complete all
remaining services. Accordingly, this request is limited to a contract term extension and does not include any
increase to the contract budget.
Closing
Thank you for your consideration of this request. Should you have questions regarding the proposed
contract extension, please contact me at michelle.hancox@stantec.com.
Regards,
Stantec Consulting Services Inc.
