A RESOLUTION
Appointing Board, Commission, and Committee Members
WHERAS, the City of Evanston has multiple Boards, Commissions and
Committees and certain vacancies exist due to the expiration of terms of current members;
and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has reviewed the applications of interested
candidates to fill these positions and recommends the following appointments based on their
qualifications, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it in the best interest of the City of Evanston to
approve the appointment of the recommended individuals,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council hereby affirms the Mayor’s appointments of:
• Jihan Varisco: To position seven on the Citizen Police Review Commission for a second
term expiring September 14, 2029.
• Sylvia Lackey-Corcoran: To position eight on the Citizen Police Review Commission for
a second term expiring September 14, 2029.
• Julia Pantoga:To position nine on the Commission on Aging and Disabilities for a
second term expiring September 14, 2029.
• Jim Cahan: To position 11 on the Environment Board for a second term expiring
September 14, 2029.
• Michael Dykes: To position four on the Five-Fifths TIF Advisory Committee for a second
term expiring September 14, 2029.

•Heather Bublick: To position five on the Five-Fifths TIF Advisory Committee for a second
term expiring September 14, 2029.
•Dwayne MacEwen: To position six on the Five-Fifths TIF Advisory Committee for a second
term expiring September 14, 2029.
•Virna Garcia: To position seven on the Five-Fifths TIF Advisory Committee for a second
term expiring September 14, 2029.
•Michael Miro: To position four on the Liquor Control Review Board for a second term
expiring September 14, 2029.
•Holly Freed: To position three on the M/W/D/EBE Development Committee for a first
term expiring September 14, 2028.
•Thomas Ahleman: To position two on the Preservation Commission for a second term
expiring September 14, 2029.
•Renée Phillips: To position six on the Social Services Committee for a second term
expiring September 14, 2029.
•Steve Waters: To position two on the Utilities Commission for a second term expiring
September 14, 2030.
•Kameeshia Lackey: To position six on the Utilities Commission for a second term expiring
September 14, 2030.
SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by municipal code.
