A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AND SUBMIT AN
APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDING FROM THE ILLINOIS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE EVANSTON MASON
PARK NORTH AND CHURCH STREET / DODGE AVENUE
TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

Department of Transportation's Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) for
the Evanston Mason Park North and Church Street / Dodge Avenue Transportation
Improvements Project (the "Project"); and
to improve bicycle and pedestrian connectivity, accessibility, safety, and access to Mason
Park North and the surrounding transportation network; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program provides
funding for eligible transportation enhancement projects that improve bicycle and
pedestrian facilities and enhance connectivity within local communities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston has available,funds to finance the twenty
percent (20%) non -Federal match and the financial capability to maintain and manage
the completed Project in a safe and attractive manner for public use; and

Assurance document indicating its willingness and ability to perform the Project;

SECTION 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
best interest of the City,
and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law,
