For additional financial reports, please visit: https://www.cityofevanston.org/government/transparency/budget-financial-reports Section 1 – Cash and Investment Position A comparison between the 2nd quarter 2026 and 1st quarter 2026 cash/ investments indicate increase in combined cash & investments of $26,607,501 from $102,926,094 to $129,533,595. The main reason for the increase is the sale of General Obligation (GO) Bonds in June. During the 2nd quarter 2026, we continued to focus on maintaining liquidity while striving for the maximum returns on Cash and Investments. We will continue to monitor the interest rate environment and overall economy. At the same time, we strive to be compliant with our investment policy of not having over 50% in one institution.
