A RESOLUTION
Appointing Board, Commission, and Committee Members
WHERAS, the City of Evanston has multiple Boards, Commissions and
Committees and certain vacancies exist due to the expiration of terms of current members;
and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has reviewed the applications of interested
candidates to fill these positions and recommends the following appointments based on their
qualifications, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it in the best interest of the City of Evanston to
approve the appointment of the recommended individuals,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council hereby affirms the Mayor’s appointments of:
•Position one: Sharef Al Najjar (Library Board) for a first term expiring June 30, 2029.
•Position six: Liz Kenney (Library Board) for a first term expiring June 30, 2029.
•Position nine: Gus Granchalek (Library Board) for a first term expiring June 30, 2029.

SECTION 2 : That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by municipal code.
