A RESOLUTION
Approving the Evanston Arts Council FY 2026 Cultural Fund Grant
Recommendations
WHEREAS, the Evanston Arts Council (EAC) administers the Cultural Fund Grant
(CFG) program, a regranting program that provides grants to Evanston arts organizations;
and
WHEREAS, the CFG program for FY 2026 has a total budget of $135,000,
comprised of $45,000 from the City of Evanston General Fund, $30,000 from the Illinois
Arts Council, and $60,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts; and,
WHEREAS, the EAC has recommended allocating the full $135,000 toward its FY
2026 Cultural Fund annual grants, while reserving the remaining $15,000 of the City's
General Fund allocation for its rolling Special Project Grants program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council hereby approves the Evanston Arts Council's
FY 2026 Cultural Fund Grant recommendations, totaling $135,000, to be distributed
among the 30 recommended Evanston arts organizations as set forth in the EAC's
funding recommendations attached hereto and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to take all
actions necessary to disburse the approved Cultural Fund Grant awards in accordance

with the EAC's recommendations and applicable grant requirements from the Illinois Arts
Council and the National Endowment for the Arts
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
