HomeMy WebLinkAbout20-R-26 Approving Plat of Subdivision for Mt Pisgah HODC Project Properties (3) (1)06/08/2026 20-R-26 A RESOLUTION Approving a Plat of Subdivision for 1805 Church Street, 1708 Darrow Avenue, 1710 Darrow Avenue, 1811-1815 Church Street WHEREAS, the City of Evanston owns certain real property located at 1805 Church Street, 1708 Darrow Avenue, and 1710 Darrow Avenue; and WHEREAS, Mt. Pisgah Ministry, Inc. (“Mt. Pisgah”) owns certain real property located at 1811-1815 Church Street; and WHEREAS, the City and Mt. Pisgah desire to mutually transfer equal- sized lots as part of the plan for a future housing development (the “HODC Project”) by Housing Opportunity Development Corporation (“HODC”); and WHEREAS, in order to allow for the future mutual transfer of equal -sized lots, Mt. Pisgah and the City intend to establish new property line boundaries via subdivision; and WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council, by Ordinance 34-O-23, granted zoning relief to Mt. Pisgah and, as a condition of said zoning relief, imposed the following condition: “Approval of a plat of subdivision and recording of the approved plat of subdivision establishing new property lines related to the proposed HODC project at 1811-1815 Church Street”; and Page 1 of 7 20-R-26 WHEREAS, pursuant to Subsection 4-11-1(B) of the Evanston City Code of 2012, as amended (the “City Code”), the City Council may approve of a plat by means of a resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds that the proposed plat complies with all applicable provisions of Title 4, Chapter 11 of the City Code , subject to certain conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, THAT: SECTION 1: The foregoing recitals are found as fact and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2: Pursuant to Title 4, Chapter 11 of the City Code, the City Council hereby approves the proposed Plat of Subdivision, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference, The execution of subdivision shall be recorde d within twelve (12) months of City Council approval; and SECTION 3: The City Manager and/or their designee(s) is/are hereby authorized and directed to sign, and the City Clerk hereby authorized and directed to attest, any documents necessary to implement the terms of this Resolution 20-R-26. SECTION 4: This Resolution 20-R-26 shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval in the manner required by law.
