Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue, Room 2404 AGENDA 1. CALL TO ORDER / DECLARATION OF QUORUM 2. OLD BUSINESS A. 917 Edgemere Court (LSHD) – Elliot Flaws, applicant. Construction of a new 2-story, brick and stucco single-family residence with an attached 1-story, 3-car garage in front. Applicable standards: [Construction] 1- 13, and 16 [To be tabled to February 21, 2016] B. 1045 Sherman Av. (L) – Greg Borkowski, applicant. Raising a portion of the existing south side addition to allow for more habitable area on the home’s second level. The addition will be recessed from the front of the house, not protruding past the existing second floor structure and thus maintaining the original farm house character. Applicable standards: [Construction] 1- 5, 7- 10, 12, 14 and 15; [Demolition] 1-5. 3. NEW BUSINESS A. 1865 Sherman Av. (Landmark lot of record) – Dan Weese, applicant. New masonry addition at east side of building; new masonry accessible ramp and stairs at the main entrance of the building from grade to 1st floor at southeast corner of building; reworked and expanded doorway at fire exit at north elevation of courtyard; taller windows at west elevation of cou rtyard; new masonry exterior entry stairs to first floor apartment and basement apartment. Reworked door and window location at west elevation; new lannon stone area wells at various locations to replace existing; and new aluminum windows to replace existing glass block at basement. Applicable standards: [Alteration] 1-7, 9 and 10; [Construction] 1, 2, 6- 8, 10, and 12-16; [Demolition] 1-5. B. 2350 Orrington Av. (NEHD) – North Shore Builders, Inc., applicant. Construction of single family dwelling with attached 2-car garage. Applicable standards: [Construction] 1-13 and 16. C. 640 Lincoln St. /640 Colfax St. (L/NEHD) – Amy Gauen, applicant. Exterior restoration of facade, including: (a) repair and repainting of stucco (b) repair or replace in -kind wood half- timbering, moldings, frieze boards and paint (c) paint removal from brick at first story (d) masonry repairs and repointing (e) restore wood windows and install replica sash at openings that have been modified with a/c units or non-matching replacement windows and paint (f) install new aluminum framed window screens at all openings (g) underpin and stabilize southeast corner of porch foundation walls. Applicable standards: [Alteration] 1- 7, 9 and 10; [Demolition] 1-5. D. 1900 Orrington Av. (NEHD) – Kaufman O’Neil Architecture, applicant. Window restoration on primary facades, window replacement on secondary facades, select modifications to existing masonry openings and masonry repair. New accessible ramp on the West side of the building, and a new enclosed vertical platform in the rear court. The existing wood exterior and decks in the rear court will be demolished and rebuilt in new configuration to accommodate the platform Order & Agenda Items are subject to change. Modify a few of the window sizes on the sides of the house and add new windows facing the backyard from the Dining Room. Restore the existing wood windows and doors of the Sunroom. Replace the basement windows with awning windows. Add an egress window well from the basement. Build a new four-car garage off the alley. New walkways, patio and landscaping. Moving lot line between properties approximately 10’ to the north. Applicable standards: 2-8-12 (B) 1. (a) – (e). G. 115 Dempster St. (L/LSHD) - Paul Janicki, applicant. Replace roof dormers on front and rear roofs, add to existing garage footprint, add new room above existing garage, add new 2nd story passageway, add new breakfast bay, remove miscellaneous windows and replace with new windows expand light wells. Replace ten 2nd-story double hung wood windows (6/1 divided lights) - four at rear court facing west and garage; and six at rear south facing cemetery, with double hung vinyl clad wood windows (6/1 divided lights) grids between panes of glass.
