B. 904 Hinman (L) – Window replacement update
5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. 729 Sheridan Road (LSHD) – Consolidate Lot 2 and Lot 3 to their original
state as one parcel - Consideration of approval of Commission’s findings on
the proposed consolidation.
B. 214 Greenwood (L/LSHD) – Relocate of one window opening on west façade.
Enlarge window opening on south façade. Replace windows and doors on
first floor rear sun porch (3 sides). Replace windows on second floor rear sun
porch (3 sides). Refinish stucco and wood trim and rework brick openings as
needed.
C. 829 Reba Place (L) - Replacement of wood casement windows with wood
with aluminum clad casement windows
6. NEW BUSINESS
A. 2106 (NEHD/C) Orrington Avenue - On west rear elevation - First floor:
remove sliding doors and two single panel windows and install three double
hung windows, remove one double hung window and replace it with a wood
door with glass; build new stairs - Second floor: remove one door and one
double hung window. Install two double hung window; enlarge deck over first
floor entry door to provide a covered porch. North elevation - First floor:
remove existing window - Second floor: remove window. South elevation -
First floor: remove door - Second floor: remove double hung window. Infill all
exposed openings with wood siding to match existing.
B. 904 Oakton Street #3 – North front elevation – Third floor: Replace two
double hung wood windows with 8/3 true divided lights with two double hung
aluminum clad wood windows to match the original style and number of
divided lights. Other windows not visible from the public way: 6 double hung
windows on the rear south elevation (4 windows with 8/3 divided lights) and
one double hung window on the east elevation.
C. 300 Church Street - Special use for a five guest room bed and breakfast
establishment. Replace basement windows; add new basement windows
with limestone wells. Replace kitchen windows. Replace one existing
second floor window with new double-hung window; and remove bulk head
upgrades to a limited number of exterior windows. Construct a new ramp
along the north elevation. Install two AC units along the west side of house.
Coach house: replace garage doors with carriage overhead doors; remove
two coach house doors and replace them with limestone and stucco; and
replace one missing window from second floor bath.
D. PLAQUE PROGRAM
Discussion on establishing a plaque program for Evanston Landmark
buildings.
