CALL TO ORDER / DECLARATION OF QUORUM 2. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES of April 19, May 17 and June 21, 2011 3. COMMITTEE REPORTS A. Survey Sub-Committee – Update 4. STAFF REPORTS A. Lakeshore Historic District Phase 1 Update 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS A. 829 Reba Place (L) - Replacement of wood casement windows with wood with aluminum clad casement windows 6. NEW BUSINESS A. 1125 Judson Avenue (LSHD) – From existing one-story east rear addition(s) convert screened porch into framed family room with new double hung windows and exterior wood siding finish. Also, remove framed walls from family room and rebuild that room as a screen porch with centered wood stairs. Remove concrete steps form south elevation. First floor east elevation: remove kitchen window and install new wood door on same opening and build new wood stairs. On the north first floor elevation remove two windows and install new double hung windows with divided lights on the upper sash. [Alteration/Demolition] B. 1021 Forest Avenue (L/LSHD) – From front west elevation: remove existing brick to access concrete stair for demolition. Remove existing concrete stair and walk. Rebuild stair in kind (same size, and location) match ex-concrete (texture and color). Rebuild masonry piers/knee walls to match existing (use existing bricks). Replace existing concrete walks (same size and location). [Alteration/Demolition] C. 2135 Orrington Avenue (C/NEHD) – Demolish existing detached garage and construct in its place two parking spaces. [Construction/Demolition] D. 2244 Orrington Avenue (C/NEHD) – Construct a one-story mudroom addition on the north elevation of house matching materials and style of house. [Construction] E. 414 Greenleaf (L/LSHD) – Remove the existing front stoop, steps and walkway. The existing wing walls and railings to remain. Install new mortared front walkway and stoop with similar brick that will be dry laid in the same configuration as existing. Mortared brick steps to be replaced with solid Indiana limestone steps. [Alteration/Demolition] F. 1705 Lincoln Street (L) – Revisions to previously approved exterior alterations in 1994 and subsequently in 2003. New alterations include: second dormer on west elevation, five skylights on the east elevation, enclosure of vestibule on front porch, removal of windows at the back of the existing porch, removal of side porch and covering on the northwest side of the building (side porch scheduled to be rebuilt next Spring). [Alteration] G. 635 Michigan Avenue (LSHD) – Construct a one-story screen porch at the rear east elevation of existing house. Remove existing rear wood deck. Construct a detached 2-car frame garage and demolish existing 2-car garage. [Construction/Demolition] H. 739 Forest Avenue (LSHD) – Construct a two-story addition at the rear east elevation of existing house. Demolish existing one-story back entrance, laundry room, back porch and steps to grade. The project requires zoning variations for the proposed 31.1% building lot coverage; maximum allowed = 30% and the proposed 6.5’ setback from the north property line; minimum required = 10’.
