Home My WebLink AboutResolution 77-R-26 Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Agreement with Carbon Day EV Charging for Purchase and Installation of Five (5) Dual Port Electric Vehicle Charging Stations for Public Use at the Levy Senior Center and Three 04/27/2026 77-R-26 A RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Agreement with Carbon Day EV Charging for Purchase and Installation of Five (5) Dual Port Electric Vehicle Charging Stations for Public Use at the Levy Senior Center and Three (3) Dual Port Electric Vehicle Charging Stations for Municipal Fleet Use at the 1800 Maple Self Park Garage WHEREAS, the City of Evanston has committed to expanding public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and increasing municipal EV fleet vehicles requiring additional EV fleet only charging stations; and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston entered into a grant agreement with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency under a funding opportunity announced on March 22, 2024, called the “Climate and Equitable Jobs Act CEJA) EV Charging Round 2” for grant funding totaling $150,000 for up to 80% of eligible costs ; and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston in 2025 relocated to the Lorraine H. Morton City Hall at 909 Davis Street, Evanston, IL 60201 authorizing staff to utilize 1800 Maple Self Park Garage for fleet EV vehicles; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sign, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest on behalf of the City of Evanston, an Agreement between the City and Carbon Day EV Charging. SECTION 2: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to negotiate any terms of an Agreement as may be determined to be in the best interests of the City.
