A comparison between the 3rdquarter and 2nd quarter of 2021 investment reports indicate an increase in combined cash & investments of $14,150,799 from $100,631,549 to $114,782,348. The increase is mainly attributable to bond proceeds received in September. The COVID 19 has not only adversely impacted tax revenues but also investment returns forcing a change in investment strategies. During the 3rd quarter, we continued to focus on maintaining the liquidity while striving for the maximum returns on Cash and Investments. We will continue to monitor the interest rate environment and overall economy. At the same time, we strive to be compliant with our investment policy of not having over 50% in one institution. Staff will continue to monitor the allocation of Cash and Investments.
