For additional financial reports, please visit: https://www.cityofevanston.org/government/transparency/budget-financial-reports Section 1 – Cash and Investment Position A comparison between the 3rd Quarter 2025 and 2nd Quarter 2025 cash/ investments indicate a decrease in combined cash & investments $14,827,618 from $144,897,031 to $130,069,412. The decrease is primarily driven by payments of Capital projects and continued delay in the disbursement of the second installment of property tax from Cook County. During the 3rd Quarter 2025, we continued to focus on maintaining liquidity while striving for the maximum returns on Cash and Investments. We will continue to monitor the interest rate environment and overall economy. At the same time, we strive to be compliant with our investment policy of not having over 50% in one institution.
