A RESOLUTION
Authorizing the City Manager to
Execute an Agreement with Heartland Virtru, Inc. for the Purchase of Encrypted
Email Services Renewal Subscription
WHEREAS, the object of the project is to protect sensitive data sent or received via email, and
meet HIPAA and/or CJIS standards; and
WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council believes entering into an Agreement with Virtru, Inc. is in
the best interests of the citizens of Evanston,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sign, and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to attest on behalf of the City of Evanston, an Agreement between
the City and Virtru, Inc.
SECTION 2: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to negot iate any terms
of an Agreement as may be determined to be in the best interests of the City.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.

between Virtru, Inc. and City of Evanston, IL, unless the original terms are superseded by a subsequent agreement,
in which case this Order Form are subject to the terms of the latest agreement.
By executing this Order Form, signatory hereby represents and warrants that such signatory is a duly authorized
representative of Customer and, on behalf of Customer, agrees that, as of the Effective Date, Customer’s use of the
Materials and Virtru Services (as defined in the Terms of the governing Agreement) shall be governed by the
referenced Agreement, including the: Terms of Service.
Note: Quote does not include applicable tax, if any.
