AN ORDINANCE
Amending Schedule X(F)5 of City Code Section 10-11-10,
“Schedule X; Limited Par king”
WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council determined that parking within
parts of Parking District E currently offers limited parking options to residents in the
District; and
WHEREAS, certain modifications to the City Code can help to address the
residents’ concerns in this area,
WHEREAS, certain modifications to the City Code would also make the
neighborhood located at the 2600 block of Prairie more uniform with the surrounding
area, and
WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council finds that it is in the best interest of
the City of Evanston or amend the parking restrictions in this area;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: Schedule X(F)5 of City Code Subsection 10-11-10,
“Schedule X; Limited Parking” of the Evanston City Code of 2012, as amended, is
hereby further amended as follows:
10-11-10. – SCHEDULE X; LIMITED PARKING.

Prairie Avenue East side, Livingston Street to a point 550 feet south thereof
(Ord. No. 63-0-87)
Those residents having a legal address upon the streets or portions of streets listed
above shall be eligible to apply for and receive a permit for residential exemption
parking district E.

SECTION 2: Schedule XVIII(G)1 and Schedule XVIII(G)2 of City Code
Subsection 10-11-18, “Schedule X; Limited Parking” of the Evanston City Code of 2012,
as amended, is hereby further amended as follows:
10-11-18. – SCHEDULE XVIII; RESIDENTS PARKING ONLY PARKING.
(G)(1) District Seven (7): 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday.

above.
2. Those residents located at 2542-2566 Prairie Avenue.
3. Those residents located at 2002-B and 2002-C Central Street.
4. Those residents having a legal address on the 1900, 2000, and 2100 blocks of
Central Street that has not previously been designated as a transit oriented property.

(G)(2) District Seven (7): 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday

Those residents having a legal address upon the streets or portions of streets
listed above shall be eligible to apply for and receive a permit for residential
exemption parking district 7
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: If any provision of this Ordinance 7-O-26 or application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held unconstitutional or otherwise invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of this Ordinance that can be
given effect without the invalid application or provision, and each invalid application of
this Ordinance is severable.
SECTION 5: Ordinance 7-O-26 shall be in full force and effect after its
passage and approval.
SECTION 6: The findings and recitals contained herein are declared to
be prima facie evidence of the law of the City and shall be received in evidence as
provided by the Illinois Compiled Statutes and the courts of the State of Illinois.
