Recommended Action:
Staff recommends the City Manager execute a three-year agreement with Suzanne
Hock (5861 N Glenwood Ave, Apt G, Chicago, IL 60660) for instruction of fitness
classes at the Levy Senior Center. This agreement period will run January 1, 2025,
through December 31, 2027.
Funding Source:
Revenue from program registrations is deposited into the General Fund Account, Levy
Senior Center Business Unit 100.30.3055.53565, and instructional expenses are paid
from Levy Senior Center Business Unit 100.30.3055.62505, which has a $272,700
budgeted allocation. Compensation for the vendor is based on the following amount of
revenue collected:

Summary:
In 2024 a one-year contract was signed with Suzanne Hock for the instruction of
fitness classes. During this time, Suzanne has worked hard to provide excellent
instruction for seniors and helped foster a welcoming environment.
In 2024 revenue for Suzanne’s classes was approximately $16,000 and expenses were
approximately $9,600. For 2025, the staff is projecting $19,000 in revenues and
$11,500 in expenses.
