HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 63-O-25_ Special Services Area _9 2025 Tax Levy11/10/2025 63-O-25 AN ORDINANCE Levying Taxes for the Special Service Area No. 9 (successor to SSA #4) of the City of Evanston, County of Cook, and State of Illinois, for the Fiscal year Beginning January 1, 2026, and Ending December 31, 2026 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That, in order to meet expenses and liabilities of the Special Service Area No. 9 of the City of Evanston, Illinois, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026, there is hereby levied on all real property subject to taxation within the limits of said Special Service Area No. 9 of the City of Evanston as assessed and equalized for the year 2025, the sum of Six hundred Ninety-One thousand Eight hundred Seventy-Five dollars ($691,875), being the total 2026 budget plus allowances for allowable collection losses (2.50%), which are to be collected from the tax levy of Special Service Area No. 9 of the City of Evanston for the year 2025. SECTION 2: That there be appropriated the sum of the sum of Six hundred Ninety-One thousand Eight hundred Seventy-Five dollars ($691,875), for the Evanston Special Service Area 9, as outlined in the City of Evanston FY26 Proposed Budget – Tax Levy Year 2025 to be Received in FY2026. SECTION 4: That the foregoing recitals are found as fact and made a part hereof. SECTION 5: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed. SECTION 6: That this ordinance 63-O-25 shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
