A RESOLUTION
Designating that portion of McCormick Boulevard between Green Bay
Road and Bridge Street with the Honorary Street Name Sign,
“Natural Area Stewards Way”
WHEREAS, the Honorary Street Name Sign program was established in
1996 to allow residents the opportunity to honor living individuals or groups that have
contributed greatly to the City of Evanston through cultural, historical, or humanitarian
acts; and
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston desires to honor the hard work and
contributions to the City by the natural area stewards; and
WHEREAS, the stewardship work that happens all across the City of
Evanston would not be possible without the work of these volunteers; and
WHEREAS groupsthesehonortowishes ofofCitythe,Evanston
dedicated residents with the acknowledgment of the work that has been done and the
efforts yet to come.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, THAT:
SECTION 1:found as fact andherebyareThe foregoing recitals
incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2: On behalf of the entire citizenry of the City of Evanston, the
City Council hereby expresses appreciation for the Natural Area Stewards by

designating that portion of McCormick Boulevard between Green Bay Road and Bridge
Street with the Honorary Street Name Sign, “Natural Area Stewards Way”.
SECTION 3: This Resolution 100-R-25 will be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
