HomeMy WebLinkAbout27-O-24 Amending City Code Section 10-11-22, “Schedule XXII; Evanston Resident Only Parking Districts” for District E-102/26/2024 27-O-24 AN ORDINANCE Amending City Code Section 10-11-22, “Schedule XXII; Evanston Resident Only Parking Districts” for District E-1 WHEREAS,the Evanston City Council determined that parking within the Residential Parking District is difficult for residents in the District; and WHEREAS,certain modifications to the City Code can help to address the residents’ concerns in this area, and WHEREAS,the Evanston City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City of Evanston or amend the parking restrictions in this area; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1:City Code Subsection 10-11-22, Schedule XXII “Evanston Resident Only Parking Districts” of the Evanston City Code of 2012, as amended, is hereby further amended as follows: 10-11-22. – SCHEDULE XXII; EVANSTON RESIDENT ONLY PARKING DISTRICTS. (A) District E-1: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday through Friday: SCHEDULE XXII(A): EVANSTON RESIDENT ONLY PARKING DISTRICTS Page 1 of 3 Doc ID: 8fd790260f5cdc39a93ed25c1a06809e3ec2eb51 27-O-24 Custer Avenue West side Main Street to alley south of Reba Place Elmwood Avenue Both sides Lee Street to alley south of Reba Place Madison Street Both sides Ridge Avenue to Custer Avenue Maple Avenue East side Main Street to Lee Street Monroe Street Both sides Ridge Avenue to Custer Avenue Reba Place Both sides Ridge Avenue to Custer Avenue Sherman Avenue Both sides Main Lee Street to alley south of Reba Place Washington Street Both sides Ridge Avenue to a point 100 feet west of Custer Avenue Those residents having an address on the streets or portions of streets described above are eligible to obtain a permit for District E-1 in accordance with the regulations contained in Subsection 10-4-5-2(C) of this Title. SECTION 2:All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3:If any provision of this Ordinance 27-O-24 or application thereof to any person or circumstance is held unconstitutional or otherwise invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of this Ordinance that can be given effect without the invalid application or provision, and each invalid application of this Ordinance is severable.
