AN ORDINANCE
Amending Section 3-4-6 of the Evanston City Code,
“Classification and License Fees” to Add Subsection (Z)
(City Entity Liquor License)
NOW BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: Table 1 of Section 3-4-6 of the Evanston City Code of
2012, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding the following:

SECTION 2: Section 3-4-6 of the Evanston City Code of 2012, as
amended, is hereby further amended by the enactment of a new Subsection (Z)
thereof, “Class Z Liquor License” to create a new license with the following
conditions and restrictions to read as follows:
(Z) Class Z licenses, which shall authorize the sale in City-owned premises only
of alcoholic liquor for consumption on the premises where sold. No such license
may be granted to or retained by an establishment that is not City-owned.
SECTION 3: That the findings and recitals contained herein are
declared to be prima facie evidence of the law of the City and shall be received in
evidence as provided by the Illinois Complied Statues and the courts of the State
of Illinois.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 5: That this Ordinance 36-O-24 shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner
provided by law.
SECTION 6: That if any provision of this Ordinance 36-O-24 or
application thereof to any person or circumstance is ruled unconstitutional or
otherwise invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of this Ordinance 36-O-24 that can be given effect without the invalid application
or provision, and each invalid provision or invalid application of this Ordinance
36-O-24 is severable.
