(2830 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, IL 60657) for $93,300.00. Funding Source: Funding is provided from American Rescue Plan Act Fund (Account No. 170.99.9902.65515) in the amount of $93,300.00, which has an allocation of $2,000,000.00 for lead service line replacements. Council Action: For Action Summary: The 2023 Water Main and Street Resurfacing project included the replacement of the existing water main on Oakton Street from the west City limits to Hartrey Avenue. During the installation of the new water main, it was determined that the water service to the property at 2527 Oakton Street was fed from the water main slated for replacement. A8.Page 100 of 380 Doc ID: bee27133bf243f65741d88adb46bcdd65ebaf43c The water service could not be installed during the 2023 Water Main and Street Resurfacing project because the owner of the property at 2527 Oakton Street did not have the proper utility easements to allow the construction to occur on private property. The property owner has since obtained a formal easement with the property owner at 2453 Oakton Street to allow for the water service installation. Analysis: On September 12, 2022, the City Council approved the prequalification of four private contractors to provide plumbing services for private lead service line replacements. On May 27, 2024, the four prequalified contractors were requested to provide a cost proposal to install the water service to 2527 Oakton Street. The cost proposals received are summarized below: Joel Kennedy Constructing, Co. (Kennedy) submitted the lowest cost to provide the requested services and has performed satisfactory work for the City in the past. Kennedy’s proposal is provided as an attachment.
