HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-O-24 Amending City Code Section 10-11-22 (C), “Schedule XVII; Evanston Resident Parking Only Districts” for District E-301/22/2024 22-O-24 AN ORDINANCE Amending City Code Section 10-11-22 (C), “Schedule XVII; Evanston Resident Parking Only Districts” for District E-3 WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council determined that parking within the Residential Parking District is difficult for residents in the District; and WHEREAS, certain modifications to the City Code can help to address the residents’ concerns in this area, and WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City of Evanston or amend the parking restrictions in this area; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: City Code Subsection 10-11-22(C), Schedule XVII “Evanston Resident Parking Only Districts” of the Evanston City Code of 2012, as amended, is hereby further amended as follows: 10-11-22. – SCHEDULE XVII; RESDIENTS PARKING ONLY DISTRICTS. (C) District E-3: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday: SCHEDULE XVII (C): RESIDENTS PARKING ONLY DISTRICTS AvenueDewey sideWest enddeadthetoStreetSimpsonFrom AvenueHurd sidesBoth Lincoln Street to Colfax Street Keeney Street Both Sides From Chicago Ave. to Hinman Ave South Blvd.North Side From Hinman Ave. to Chicago Ave. South Blvd.South Side Driveway at 516 South Blvd to Hinman Ave In accordance with the regulations contained in Subsection 10-4-5-2(C) of this Title, the following residents are eligible to obtain for a permit for District E-3:  1. Those residents having an address on the 500 block of Chicago Ave. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: If any provision of this Ordinance 22-O-24 or application thereof to any person or circumstance is held unconstitutional or otherwise invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of this Ordinance that can be given effect without the invalid application or provision, and each invalid application of this Ordinance is severable. SECTION 4: Ordinance 22-O-24 shall be in full force and effect after its passage and approval. SECTION 5: The findings and recitals contained herein are declared to be prima facie evidence of the law of the City and shall be received in evidence as provided by the Illinois Compiled Statutes and the courts of the State of Illinois.
