ANSWER:
There are no wiring diagrams for the control relay. Below is a more complete description of the
functionality of this control relay:
Upon a loss of power detected by the potential transformers, the DP4000 will go into alarm and
energize the lockout (86) relay in Main Contactor No. 2. The lockout (86) relay shall have two
normally open contacts. One contact shall trip the Main Contactor and the other contact shall
energize the control relay (Auxiliary Relay #2). Auxiliary Relay #2 shall have a DC coil and four
normally open contacts.
Contact #1 shall energize the "3 Phase Voltage Failure" indicating light on the door of Main
Contactor No. 2. Contact #4 shall be a spare.
Contact #2 and Contact #3 shall be wired to the low voltage cabinet behind the existing MCC.
The conduit between the Main Contactor No. 2 section and the low voltage cabinet shall be
changed to a 3/4"C, 4#14, 1#14 GND. It is presently shown as a 3/4"C, 2#14, 1#14 GND.
The City of Evanston will terminate the #14 wires in the low voltage cabinet behind the MCC and
connect the wires to the engine start circuits. Leave the #14 wires coiled up in the low voltage
cabinet for termination and connection by the City of Evanston.
