0 E r� U 45-4-60 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "An ordinance to classify, regulate and . restrict the location of trades and in- dustries and the location of buildings desi ned for specified uses and to regulate and limit the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected, to regulate and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas of yards, courts and other open spaces within and surrounding such buildings and to establish the boundaries of districts for the said purposes and prescribing penalties for the violation of its provisions," adopted by the City Council of the City of Evanston on January 18, 1921, and approved by the Mayor of said City on January 19, 1921, as amended March 25, 1940, hereinafter called the "ZONING ORDI" BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANS TON , COOK COUNTY, I LLI NOIS : SECTION 1: That a variation from the rear and side Yard regulations of the zoning ordinance so far as said regulations pertain to the property in the City of Evanston located at 1427 Chicago Avsaue, y and legally described as - Lots 14 15, 16, 179 and 18 in Block 31 in the Vi lagQe of Evanston, a subdivision of parts of Section 13, Township 41 N. Anago 13, East of the Third Principal Morldian, and Sections 7. 18, and 19, Township 41 N., Range 140 East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois, is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit FIRST UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH to coastrust an addition to the 4 present church building in accordance with plans sWwW and set forth in the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals as folloirs: • r r- tip: � �•�*'�- - .'�,'s,.. 9l a9s LJ I 1. That tb& requested variation in the rear yard setback requirements of the ordinance to permit the extension of the church school building by construction of a building to the south on a line with'the east building line of the present structure* be granted. 2,. That a variation in the side yard setback requirement to permit appellant to bring its proposed structure as near to the Macpherson north property line as the present setback of the MacPherson house from that line, be granted, SECTION 2: The Director of Building is ordered and directed to grant a permit to FIRST UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, subject to the provisions referred to under Section 1 of this ordinance and in accordance with the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals. All actions of the Director of Building which have been taken and which conform to the provisions of this ordi- nance are hereby ratified and approved. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law. The Board of Local Improvements of said City of Evanston, after lull consideration of the subjoct matter hereof, herewith submits a draft of an Ordinance • calling (a) for the Repeal by said City Council of the Ordinance herstofore .adopted by said City Council and approved by the Mayor of said City on February 15, 1960, for the making of a Local Improvement within said City of Evanston, Illinois, the nature, character, locality and description of which is as follows, That Oak Avenue from Church Street to Davis Street, Benson Avenue from Church Stz%ot to Davis Street, Sherman Avenue from Clark Street to Lake Street, orrington Avenue from Clark Street to Davis Street, Chicago Avenue from Church Street to Grove Street, Church Street froi Oak Avenue to Chicago Avenue, Davis Street from alley east of Ridge Avenue to Hinman Avenue, and Grove Street from the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad tracks to Chicago Avenue, in the City of Evanston, County of Cook and State of Illinois, be improved with additional ornamental street lighting, including necessary wiring, additional poles, flood lights, and work and materials in connection thoreewith, and (b) for the dismissal of the proceedings in regard thereto instituted in the County Court of Cook County, Illinois, as Evanston Special assessment No. 1274, and (c) for the authorising of the Attorney for said Board to effect the dismissal of said proceedings; and said Board of Local Improvements hereby recommeeends the Repeal of said Ordinance, the dismissal of said proceedings and the adoption of said repealing Ordinance. This Recommendation is being wade for the reason that certain recognized defects is the present proceedings can only be cured by the Repeal of the present Ordinance and the dismissal of the present proceedings and the enactment of a new Ordinance and the instituting of new proceedings.
