AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
"An ordinance to classify, regulatoand restrict
the location of trades and industries and the
location of buildings designed for specified uses
and to regulate and limit the height and bulk of

buildings hereafter erected,to regulate and limit

the intensity of the use of lot areas of yards,
courts and other open spaces within and surrounding

such buildings and to establish thebboundaries of
districts for the said purposes and prescribing

penalties for the violation of its provisions",
adopted by the City Council of the City of Evanston
i
on January 18, 1921, and approved by the Mayor of
said City on January 19, 1921, as amended March
25, 1940, hereinafter called the
"ZONING ORDINANCE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, CVOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION 1: That a variation from the Use
t
regulations of the zoning ordinance
so far as said regulations pertain to the property in the City
•
of Evanston located at 1801 Hinman Avenue, and legally do -
scribed as -
The Easterly 94 feet more or less of the Southerly
120 feet of a tract of land known as Lots 8 and 9
in the resubdivision of Lots 5 to 14 in Block 12
in Evanston, in Section 18, Township 41 North,
Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
in Cook County, Illinois,
is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit AMERICAN
ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS to.construct a two-story brick addition
to the east of the existing building at 1801 Hinman Avenue,
provided that there be no parking of motor vehicles in the
area south of the building proper, and provided also that the
,a
requirements of the ordinance for off-street parking be met
j either through ownership of part of the property to the nuth
or a permanent easement thereto, all in accordance with the

findings of the Zoning :Board of Appeals.
SEC HUN 2: The Director of Building is ordered
and directed to grant a permit to
American Academy of pediatrics, subject to she provisions
referred to under Section 1 of this ordinance and in accordance
with the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals. All
actions of t he :,irector of Building which have been taken and
which conform to the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
ratified and approved.
SE(;'FiuN 3: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect: from and after its passage
and approval, according to law.
