HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-O-600 • i rg :ter 8?3 10-0-60 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED R "An ordinance td classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified uses and to regulate and limit the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected, to regulate and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas of yards, courts and other open spaces within and surrounding such buildings and to establish the boundaries of districts for the said purposes and prescribing penalties for the violation of its provisions, adopted by the City Council of the City of Evanston on January 18, 1921, and approved by the Mayor of .said City on January 19, 1921, as amended March 251 1940, hereinafter called the "ZONING ORDINANCE" BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That a variation from the front and rear yard regulations of the zoning ordinance so far as said regulations pertain to the property in the City of Evanston, located at 2810 Sheridan Placg,and legally described as - The North 65 feet of Lot 12 in Lake Shore Addition to Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, being a subdiv- ision of Lots 1 to 18 inclusive in Block 1 and Lots 1 to 26 inclusive in Block 2, and vacated streets in Browne's Lake Grove Addition to Evanston, a subdivision of part of Lots 35, 360 37 and 38 in Baxter's subdiv- ision, and part of Lots 23, 24 and 25 in Smith's Sub- division, all in the South part of Ouilmette Reser- vation, Cook County, Illinois; also Lots 3 and 4 in the County Clerk's Division of part of Lots 35 to 38 inclusive, aforesaid; and all being in the City of Evanston, in the County of Cook and State of Illinois, is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit HELAINE J. QUINBY to alter the two-story coach house now located on said premises and to construct a masonry garage in front of the main building, provided that a setback of 60 feet from the lot line on Sheridan Place is maintained, all in accordance with the findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals. e SECTION 2: The Director of Building is ordered and directed to grant a permit to • Helaine J. Quinby to alter the two-story coach house now located on said premises and to construct a masonry -garage in front of • the main building, provided that a setback of 60 feet from tti lot line on Sheridan Place is maintained, all in accordance with the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals. -All actions of the Director of Building which have been taken and which conform to the provisions of this ordinance are hereby ratified and approved. i SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage ;r and approval, according to law.
