HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-O-608?1 • • 9-0-601/ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "An ordinance to classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries and the location -of buildings designed for specified uses and to regulate and limit the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected, to regulate and limit :f the intensity of the use of lot areas of yards, if courts and other open spaces within and surrounding such buildings and to establish the boundaries of districts for the said purposes and prescribinj penalties for the violation of its provisions, }� adopted by the City Council of the City of Evanston i 1 on January 18, 1921, and approved by the Mayor of !I said City on January 19, 1921, as amended March 250 1940, hereinafter called the "ZONING ORDINANCE" Ij BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF i EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That a variation from the Use ?f regulations of the zoning ordinance i� so far as said regulations pertain to the property in the City I' 1 of Evanston, located at 225 Greenwood Street, and legally ii described as - N Lot Three (3) in the Resubdivision of Lots four (4) and five (5) in Block thirty-four (34) in the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, according to map I'I of said Resubdivision recorded August 22, 1891 in i 'i Book 53 of Plats, page 9, ii {!! is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit EVANSTON i j HISTORICAL SOCIETY to sublease a portion of the residence at ' said address to the Evanston Junior League for use as club r headquarters for the term of the lease of Evanston Historical Society, or for the time that some part of the building is ►! occupied by Evanston Historical Society, provided however, i�that said lease shall not be assigned to any other person or organization, all in accordance with the findings of the ' Zoning Board of Appeals. 4 1 (� 2 • 0 SECTION 2: The Director of Building is ordered and directed to grant a permit to the Evanston Historical Society to sublease a portion of the residence located on said property to the Evanston Junior League for use as club headquarters, subject to the provisions referred to under Section 1 of this ordinance, in accordance with the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals. All actions of ,the Director of Building which have been taken and which conform to the provisions of this ordinance are hereby ratified and approved. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law.
