HomeMy WebLinkAbout25-O-5925-0-59 `' 705 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "An Ordinance to classify, regulate.and restrict the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified uses and to regulate and limit the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected, to regulate and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas, and to regulate and determine the area of yards, courts and other open spaces within and surrounding such buildings, and to establish the boundaries of districts for the said purposes and prescribing penalties for the violation of its provisions" adopted byy the City Council of the City of Evanston on January 18, 1921, and approved by the Mayor of said City on January 19, 1921, as amended, hereinafter called the "ZONING ORDINANCE" by amending USE REGULATIONS under Section 8 as follows: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That Section 8 "F" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT REGULATIONS be amended so as to include under the Use Regulations the following uses which shall be prohibited on and after the effective date of this ordinance. 28. Motels, Motor Courts and Motor Lodges defined as structures which consist of a number of living or sleeping accommodations designed primarily for lodging by transient automobile travelers, the physical lay -out of which affords ready access to guests' automobiles through an outside doorway entrance., other than through a common entrance, lobby and hallways. SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication, according to law.
