HomeMy WebLinkAbout23-O-597®1 23-0-59 AN ORDINANCE Vacating "L" Shaped Alley Lying between Church Street and Clark Street, and Maple Avenue and the Chicago, Mil- waukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad Co. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: Section 1: All that part of the East and West public alley lying between Church Street and Clark Street extended east from Maple Avenue to the railroad right-of-way of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St.Paul & Pacific Railroad Co., together with all of the north and south alley extended northward from Church Street to the foregoing east and west alley lying between Maple' Avenue and - the railroad right-of-way of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St.Paul Pacific Railroad Co., and legally described as - The east and west''public alley being the south twenty (20) feet of;.the north Two Hundred Three (203) .feet and five, (5) inches of Lots 9 and 10. Also that part of the north and south public alley lying east of Lot 7 and that part of Lot 10 lying south of the north line, extended east, of the aforementioned east and west alley, all in Block 182 Village of Evanston in the N.Ww 1 of Section 180 Township 41 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, as cross -hatched and indicated by the words "HEREBY VACATED" on the plat hereto attached, which plat for greater certainty is hereby made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is her by vacated and closed, inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public will be subserved by such vacation, provided however; that said vacation shall be subject to any public utilities presently installed or which may be hereafter located therein, together with right of ingress and egress for maintenance of the same. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval, subject to the condition that the City Clerk shall, within 90 days after its passage, file and cause to be filed for record 'in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certified copy of this ordinance together with the.Plat made a part hereof' INTRODUCED June 29,, 1959 ADOPTED July 6, 1959 APPROVED July 6, 1959 /s/ Robert E.
