AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
"ZONING ORDINANCE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That a variation from the height
regulations of the zoning ordi-
nance so far as said regulations pertain to the property at
2121 Sheridan Road in the City of Evanston, and legally
described as -
Beginning at the intersection of the north line
of Willard Place with the east lot line of Sheridan
Road, extending northward and along the east lot
line of said Sheridan Road four hundred (400) feet;
thence east on a line parallel with the north lot
line of said Willard Place to the water's edge of
Lake Michigan; thence southerly along the shore
line of Lake Michigan to the north lot line of.
Willard Place extended to the shore line of Lake
Michigan; thence west to the place of beginning;
said parcel of land having a frontage of four
hundred (400 ) feet on Sheridan Road, and the Lake
Front, of equal length north and south, excepting
therefrom, however, lots nineteen (19) and twenty
(20) in Dempster's subdivision of lot twenty-one
(21) in Assessor's Division of Section seven (7).. Township
forty-one (41) North, Range fourteen (14) East
of the Third Principal Meridian, and excepting
therefrom the public highway known as Cook Street,
but including such riparian rights as may belong
to the said lessor, but not otherwise.
Also lots one (1), two (2) and three (3) in Block
eighty-three (83.). in Northwestern University sub-
division of part of Sections seven (7) and eighteen
(18), Township forty-one (41) North, Range Fourteen
(14) East of the Third Peincipal Meridian; and lots
six (6) five (5), four (4), three (3) and the south
fifteen and a half (152) .feet of lot two (2). Block
eighty-four (84) in Northwestern University Sub-
division of parts of Sections seven (7) and eighteen
(18), Township for ty-ohe (41) North, Range fourteen
(14), East of the Third Principal Meridian - said
lots in said blocks eighty-three (83) and eighty-
four (84) lying on the west side of Sheridan Road,
and having a frontage threron of four hundred (400)
feet,

is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit GARRETT
BIBLICAL INSTITUTE to construct a four-story student hall and
dormitory building on said property, all in accordance with
plans submitted to the Zoning Board of Appeals and subject to
the applicants strict compliance with off-street parking
regulations, all in accordance with the findings of the Zoning
Board of Appeals.
SECTION 2: The Director of Building is
ordered and directed to grant a
permit to GARRETT BIBLICAL INSTITUTE to construct a four-
story student hall and dormitory building on said property,
all in accordance with plans subm ttted to the Zoning Board
of Appeals, provided that applicant shall comply strictly with
off-street parking regulations and in accordance with the findings
of the Zoning Board of Appeals. All actions of the Director of
Building which have been taken and which conform to the pro-
visions of this ordinance are hereby ratified and approved.
SECTION 3: Thisor dinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its
passage and approval, according to law.
