AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
"ZONING ORDINANCE',
BE IT ORDAINCED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That a variation from the front
yard and height regulations and
parking requirementsof the zoning ordinance so far'as said
regulations and requirements pertain to the property at 620-630
University Place in the City of Evanston, and legally des-
cribed as -

Lot Three (3) of Emma L. Talbot's Subdivision of
Lot Two (2) in Block Ten (10) of the City (formerly
Village) of Evanston, except that part of said Lot
Three (3) (said Lot Three (3) being hereinafter called
Sub -lot Three (3) ) described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeasterly corner of said
Sub -lot (3) Three; thence southerly on the easterly
line of said Sub -lot Three (3) to the southwest
corner of said Lot Two (2) in Talbot's Subdivision;
thence Northwesterly along the southerly line of
said lot produced and parallel with the southerly
line of said Sub -lot Three (3), Seven (7') feet
two and.one-half (22") inches; thence northerly in
a straight line to a point on the northerly line of
said Sub -lot Three (3), twenty-eight (28') feet
two and one-fourth (2411) inches; southwesterlyy from
the.northeast corner of said:Sub-lot Three (3);
thence northeasterly along the north line of said
Sub -lot Three (3) to the, point of beginning,
is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit NORTH-
WESTERN UNIVERSITY to construct a four-story addition to the
South westerly part of Shepard Hall, all in accordance with
plans submitted to the Zoning Board of Appeals, provided
however, that no variation as requested be granted as to the
required parking spaces for the proposed building within the
distance specified by the off-street parking regulations
of the zoning ordinance,.all in accordance with the findings of
the Zoning Board of Appeals. All actions of the Director of
Building which have been ,taken ,and .which conform to the pro-
visions,of this ordinance are hereby ratified and approved.
SECTION 3:, This ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after
its passage and approval, accor ding,to law.
