AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
"ZONING ORDINANCE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That a variation from the use
regulations of the zoning ordi-
nance so far as said regulations pertain to the property in
the City of Evanston, located at 100 South Boulevard, and
legally described as -
Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Sophia Reith*Miller's sub-
division of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Block Four-
teen (14) in Keeney and Rinn's Addition to
Evanston, in the southeast one -quarter (SET)
of Section Nineteen (19)2' Township Forty-one
(41) North, Range Fourteen (14) East of the
Third Principal Meridian, Cook County, Illinois,
is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit
STANDARD OIL COMPANY (Indiana) to construct a new gas
filling station at 100 South Boulevard, to replace the
existing building, provided that the following conditions
are complied with:
1. The new station be constructed, landscaped, and main-
tained in substantial conformity with the design
submitted at the public hearing on November 18, 1958.
2. All tires and drums of oil to be kept inside the
building at all times;
3. No repair work or lubrication except inside the building,
and all grease pits, wash racks and other service
facilities, except gasoline pumps, to be located inside
the building with access limited to the south side;
4. No truck parking;
5. No signs or parking in the required front yard of 27 feet;
6. Rustic. fence or shrubbery along the west boundary of the
property to be provided as a barrier, with an unpaved
side yard of Six feet;
7. In the event of any sublease, or other leasing arrange-
ment being made, the conditions of this variation to be
incorporated in the lease.
8. The new station and all improvements to be completely
removed 20 years from the date of the building permit
unless the property is rezoned to permit such a use at
that time.

SECTION 2: The Director of Building is
ordered and directed to grant
a permit to STANDARD,OIL COMPANY ,(Indiana) to construct a
new gasoline filling station at,100 South Boulevard, said
permt to be subject to the conditions enumerated in Section
1 of this ordinance and the findings of the Zoning Board
of Appeals. All actions of the Director of Building which
have been taken and which conform to the provisions of
this ordinance are hereby ratified and approved.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after
its passage and approval, accordng to law.
