HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-O-58610 22=0=58 � AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "ZONING ORDINANCE" BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That a variation from the use regulations of the zoning ordinance insofar as said regulations pertain to the property in the City of Evanston located at 1720 Washington Street, and legally described as Lot 1 in Block 11 in Pitner and Sons' Second Addition to South Evanston,• a- subdivision of the N.2 of the N.1 of the S.E.1 and the S. of the S.2 of the S.W.T of the N.E.J of Section 24, Township 41 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian, In Cook County, Illinois, is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit SIDNEY ANDROSEMARY ZWICK and MRS. IDA K. PEARCE to erect an addition to the single-family dwelling unit at 1720 Washington Street, so as to provide additional living quarters in addition to the existing single family dwelling, subject however, to the following conditions: 1. There shall be a 5-foot common wall between the storage room section of the new unit .and the existing house; 2. The proposed new unit shall be set back fifteen (15)feet from the Dewey Avenue property line; and 3. The owners shall provide off-street parking for two caes on.the property adjacent to the alley on the south. SECTION 2: The Director of Building is ordered and directed to grant a permit to SIDNEY and ROSEMARY ZWICK and- IDA K. PEARCE to erect an addition to the single family dwelling unit on the property described as 1720 Washington Street, so as to provide additional living quarters in addition to the existing -single family dwelling, subject to the conditions granted in Section 1 of this ordinance, in accordance with plans submitted to and in,,conformity with the findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals. All actions of the Director of Build- ing which have been taken and which conform to the provisions of this ordinance are hereby ratified and approved. SECTION 3:.
