HomeMy WebLinkAbout19-O-5819-0-58 4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "An Ordinance to classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed --for speci- fied uses and to regulate and limit the height .and bulk of.buildings.hereafter erected, to ,regulate and limit the intensity of the use of .lot areas .and . to regulate and determine the ,area of yards, courts and' other open spaces ,within and surrounding.such buildings and to .establish .the ,boundaries of districts for the :said purposes ,and .pr.escribing penalties for the .violation .of its provisions," adopted by the City Council of the City of Evanston on January 18, 1921, and approved by the Mayor of said City of January 19, 1921, as amended, March 25, 1940, hereinafter called the "ZONING ORDINANCE" BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON.. COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That a variation from the density regulations of the zc6ning,ordinance insofar as said regulations pertain to the property in the City of Evanston, known as 2532 Asbury Avenue, and legally described as - Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Evanston Park Addition, being a resub division of Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4 of North Evanston, in East Fractional half of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit the National College of Education to construct a one-story addition to the inner court of its present dormitory building at ,the southwest corner of Asbury Avenue and Central Street, all in accordance with the findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals. SECTION2: The Director of Building is ordered and directed to grant a permit to Na tional College of Education, in'conformity-with the findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals. All actions of the Director of Building which have been taken and which .conform to the pro- visions of this ordinance are hereby ratified and approved. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law.
