HomeMy WebLinkAbout14-O-58599 14-0-58 ✓ AN ORDINANCE "An Ordinance to classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified uses and to regu- late and limit -the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected, to regulate and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas and to regulate and determine the area of yards, courts and other open spaces within 'and surrounding such build- 'ings and to establish the boundaries of districts for the said purposes and pre- ' scribing penalties for the violation of -'its provisions," adopted by the City Council of the City of Evanston on January 18, 1921, and approved by the Mayor of said City on January 19, 19219 as amended, March 25, 19402 hereinafter called the "ZONING ORDINANCE" BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That a variation from the use regulations of the zoning ordinance insofar as said regulations pertain to the property in the PEW City of Evanston, located at 1819 Hinman Avenue, and legally described as - Lot 6 and the north 10 feet, front and rear, of Lot 7 in resubdivision of Lots 5 to 14 inclusive, in Block 12 in the Village of Evanston, in the N.E. fractional 1/4 of Section 18, Township 41 N., Range 14, east of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois, is hereby granted permitted and made so as to permit Dr. J. C. Brock to convert into living quarters the second floor of the building on the rear of his property at 1819 Hinman Avenue. All in accordance with the findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals. SECTION 2:' The Director of Building is ordered and directed to grant a permit to Dr. J. C. Brock to convert into living quarters the second floor of the building on the rear of the property at 1819 Hinman Avenue, and in conformity with the findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals. All actions of the Director of Building which have been taken and which conform to the pro- visions of this ordinance are hereby ratified and approved. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval, according,to law. INTRODUCED April 21, 1958 PASSED April 21, 1958 ATTEST: Maurice F.
